I have always had a passion for aviation from a young age. I remember always watching TV shows such as Airport and Airline and thinking to myself that I would love to work in this industry. I took my first job in aviation back in 2012 as a passenger service and security agent at London Southend airport, the airport is very small so it gave me lots of experience in working different roles. I would often shadow different departments within the airport and worked there for around 3 years, before moving onto bigger and better things.
I always wanted to work in operations, so when I saw a dispatcher’s job advertised at Gatwick I jumped at the chance and applied and was successful in getting the job. I have been at Gatwick for almost 3 years now; I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I love my job so much, It does come with challenges but I enjoy trying to solve them. I think that being a dispatcher is definitely one of the best jobs in the airport, apart from being a pilot! Enjoy working at Gatwick because it’s a very busy airport there is always lots going on and there is never a boring day!
